Siew Tran

Serving in the role of deacon, Siew was born in Malaysia and is of ethnic Chinese background. She was brought up as a Christian at a young age and was baptised during her teens. She came to the UK in 1975 to pursue a Nursing career. She subsequently trained in midwifery and became a qualified Midwife. Siew is married with 2 grown up children and has 1 grandson.

Siew has been a member of Pinner Baptist Church since 1992 and is actively involved and committed to support PBC in various areas. She is the Safeguarding Trustee for PBC and Co-leads the Women’s Ministry, SALT. She co-ordinates the Sunday morning refreshments rota, oversees catering events in the church, and is responsible for food safety. Siew also co-coordinates the Sunday Service Intercession Prayer rota and supports Joyce with the
evening Zoom prayer meetings.

Siew’s wider church role includes being BMS World Mission Birthday Scheme Secretary for Pinner Baptist Church. The BMS Birthday Scheme supports medical missions in poorer parts of the world.

Siew enjoys group Bible study with the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and Malaysian Christian Community in London (CCIL). In good weather, she loves to potter around her garden. She also enjoys flower arranging and walking.
