Tuesday Kaleidoscope is a group for seniors held on 1st and 3rd Tuesday afternoons of every month (except August), from 2pm – 4pm in the church.
It is an open group, welcoming any seniors from the local community. Friendship, fun and laughter are the aim of the sessions through our activities, which include arts and crafts, board games, jigsaws, quizzes, music and poetry, and always finishing with tea together.
We have occasional visits to add to our programme. Recently we have had performances by Kingsbury Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS), Hatch End Singers, Harrow Ukulele Group; also, we have been learning British Sign Language with Fiona, and doing Chair Exercises with Edyta.
A service of worship is held 4 times a year, for Easter, Summer, Harvest and Christmas, with songs, prayers, sometimes a message from our Minister, and music on the harp from Alison.
We have an annual ‘Canal Boat Outing’ with Waterways Experience on the Grand Union Canal – a lovely peaceful day with a good fish and chip lunch!
We are sometimes able to provide transport from home to the church for our events if needed.
