Serving in the role of Church Secretary, Maria qualified as a science teacher in 1994 and has since enjoyed a rich teaching career across both the state and private sectors. Alongside her work in education, she has also spent a successful period as a screenwriter, contributing to a BAFTA-winning children’s drama, entitled ‘My Life as a Popat’.

She is currently in the final year of an MA in Christianity and the Arts at King’s College London.

Having recently taken on the role of Church Secretary, Maria continues to serve in a number of areas including preaching, leading intercessions, and helping with Kaleidoscope (our group for seniors) and Sunday School.

Maria has a wide range of hobbies including drawing and – much to her husband’s endurance – enthusiastically exploring art galleries.
